Ian Burnstein is co-founder and COO of Storage Pros Management LLC. In this capacity, he coordinates all operational aspects of the companies, including property management, technology and personnel for a portfolio of 25 properties encompassing more than 1,500,000 rentable square feet of self storage.

David M. Levenfeld is co-founder and CEO of Storage Opportunity Partners LLC and Storage Pros Management LLC, overseeing investment, finance and capital improvement for the companies and their affiliates. David has worked in the self-storage investment community nationwide for more than 18 years. He is also President and co-founder of The River Group, Inc., a real estate investment, advisory and brokerage firm founded in 1989.

Between 1996-2001, David served as Vice President – Development, for Storage USA, at that time, a NYSE-listed real estate investment trust (REIT). In that capacity, he supervised the company’s development activities in the eastern third of the country, including the development of numerous new construction, expansion and conversion self-storage facilities. Since 2002, both individually and in partnership with various institutional and private investors, David has acquired more than 30 institutional-grade self storage properties totaling more than 2.25 million square feet of rentable space with an aggregate value in excess of $250 million.

David has also brokered the sale of more than $120 million worth of self-storage facilities and development parcels in the northeast US.

David is a licensed real estate broker in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He earned a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton Graduate School of Business, where he concentrated in Real Estate and Finance. He also holds a Masters degree from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University.

Mario brings to SBOATI nearly 20 years of experience in the storage and real estate insurance business. He contributes discipline, extensive knowledge and vision to his role as the leader of the brokerage operation. Prior to joining the SBOATI founding team, Mario served The Mahoney Group for 14 years. During this time, he consistently and repeatedly qualified for the company&rsquos Top Producers Club. Mario began his insurance career with Colonial Penn Insurance Company and during his tenure there, he was among the top five producers in the nation. As a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Mario provides risk management and insurance services for a wide array of real estate owners. Mario is active in the local business community and currently serves as the president of the Independent Insurance Agents Association of Greater Phoenix.

Theresa Gallas is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Storage Business Owners Alliance (SBOA). Theresa’s work experience has focused on Customer Service and Customer Relations. She also has a broad range of knowledge regarding Real Estate-related business. Most recently, Theresa ran a team of agents at a Keller Williams real estate office, while also serving as a real estate agent and administrator for residential sales. Theresa is a licensed Real Estate Agent in the State of Michigan. She has a Bachelors of Science degree from Oakland University. Theresa is a mentor for the ChildHelp of Michigan program and is active in her local community.

Kim is the Director of Marketing for SBOA Tenant Insurance.  She is responsible for marketing and sales activities including market development and planning. Kim  brings to SBOATI more than 15 years of experience in sales, marketing, and client services, including extensive experience in the self storage industry. Most recently Kim was the Client Services Manager and Solutions Marketing Manager, respectively, at G5, the largest provider of Internet Marketing Solutions for mid-market companies in the storage industry.  At G5, she was integral to the growth of the company from a start-up to an industry leader having more than 3,000 facilities on its platform. Kim received her BA in English from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon.  She then spent two years in Niger, West Africa as a health and nutrition volunteer in the Peace Corps. Kim is active in the local community and is a big sister through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, as well as serving on the Advisory Board for BBBS Central Oregon.
